How to Share an Order Set Up

Sharing your trading strategies and order setups with other Altrady users has never been easier.

Whether you're collaborating with team members, sharing insights with friends, the Order Sharing feature streamlines the process.

In this user guide, we will showcase a step-by-step process, on how you can share your order set up with other Altrady users.

Sharing the Order Set Up

Step-1: Set up your order in the Trading widget, from within the Trading Terminal.

Step-2: Scroll to the bottom of the Trading widget and click on the arrow next to the Place Order button.

Step-3: The next window that opens, will allow you to share an order link, that can be opened by any Altrady user (either on the web browser, or the app).

Opening the Shared Order Set Up

Step-1: Either click on the link, or open it in your web browser. If you have the desktop app opened, opening the link in your browser should open the order on the desktop app. To open it in your web browser, click on "open here instead" when asked:

Step-2: When the order is opened, you will first see the window below. Here, you can choose which exchange you want the order set up to be imported to, if you would like to set it up on a different exchange than the one it was created on. When you're ready to import it, click "import".

Note: only exchanges where the trading pair being imported is available, will be shown in the exchange dropdown list.

Step-3: After clicking on "import" you will see that your Trading widget gets populated with the order details:

Note: any order set ups using "Entry Price %" will be converted to "Fixed Price" upon import.

Step-4: Once you're ready to place the order, click Place Order from the bottom of the Trading widget, after confirming that the set up is still valid.

Troubleshooting

Why is the position size not copied from the original order?

Position size is not shared together with the order. The position size is based on the risk that is set, on the receiving end of the order set up (i.e. where it is opened).

Why is my order type is not supported?

Only order types that are supported on the exchange they are being imported to, will be able to be imported. If the order type is not supported for the exchange you're trying to import it on, the following message will be shown:

Why is there a message in the Trading widget, telling me that I have no API key, after importing my order?

If you try to import an order set up, for an exchange that you don't have a Trading Account set up for, the following message will be shown and you will need to create a Trading Account for that exchange:
