How to Connect a Bitmart Futures Account to Altrady
Overview
Bitmart Futures is Bitmart’s cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform. Only Perpetual Contracts are supported on Altrady (i.e. USDT‑settled, no expiry).
Moreover, only the Bitmart Futures platform is supported by Altrady (Bitmart Spot trading is unsupported currently).
Connecting a Bitmart Futures exchange account to Altrady allows for seamless trading and portfolio management of the account.
The following article will describe two methods of connecting a Bitmart Futures account:
- Fast Connect, for quick and automatic setup.
- Manual Connection, for users who prefer a more hands-on approach.

Fast Connect, simplifies the process by:
- Redirecting to Bitmart for a secure login.
- Automatically generating, configuring and connecting the Bitmart Futures API key (with the correct permissions).
- Automatically applying Altrady’s IP whitelist to the API key.
Manual Connection, by contrast, involves:
- Manually logging into Bitmart.
- Manually creating the API key.
- Copying and pasting the API key, Secret and Passphrase into Altrady.
- Manually setting permissions and pasting Altrady's IP whitelist addresses in Bitmart.
The step-by-step instructions below, will help connect a Bitmart Futures account to Altrady with ease.

Whitelisting a Bitmart Futures Account
To be able to trade on Bitmart Futures via API, the account must first be whitelisted.
- Log into Bitmart Futures account by accessing https://www.bitmart.com/ and clicking Sign In.
- Enter an email and password, or use the other available options, to sign into Bitmart.
- Once logged in, hover over the profile icon at the top of the page to reveal a list of options.
- From the list of options that are displayed, click on API Management.
- On the API Management page, click on API Whitelist Request.
- A Google form will be opened in a new tab. Enter the Bitmart CID or email address for the account, followed by where the account whitelisting confirmation should be sent to (email address, telegram account username etc).
- Once confirmation has been received that the account is whitelisted, the API key can be used for trading.
Connecting a Bitmart Futures API key to Altrady (Fast Connect)
- Navigate to Settings > Exchange Account API keys in Altrady.
- Click + Connect Account from the top-right of the page.
- Click on Bitmart under Futures only.
- Ensure Fast Connect is selected from the top of the next window that is displayed.
- Click on the slider next to Enable Futures Account.
- Click Connect at the bottom of the same window. This will open a new browser tab to Bitmart, where account details can be entered to facilitate the sign in process.
- Enter an email and password to sign in, then click Sign In. Alternatively, use any of the other available sign in options.
- Enter the Google Authenticator code when requested. Alternatively, use another verification method by clicking Switch to Another Verification Method.
- On the following window, disable the Spot Trade permission and ensure that the Future-Trade permission is enabled.
- Once done, click Confirm from the bottom of the same window.
- A new browser tab will be opened, indicating that the API key was created successfully. Close this window and go back to Altrady.
- In Altrady, a window will be displayed with a message indicating that the API key was connected successfully.
- The account will be displayed in the list of connected Trading Accounts and can be edited at any time, by clicking the Edit button next to it. The name Fast Connect Futures will be assigned to it automatically, although this can be changed at any time by editing the account label.
Connecting a Bitmart Futures API Key to Altrady (Manual Connection)
- Log into Bitmart by accessing https://www.bitmart.com/ and clicking Sign In.
- Enter an email and password, or use the other available options, to sign into Bitmart.
- Once logged in, hover over the profile icon at the top of the page to reveal a list of options.
- From the list of options that are displayed, click on API Management.
- On the API Management page, first enter a Memo for the API key. In Altrady, this will be the passphrase for the API key.
- Next, enable the Future-Trade permission.
- In a separate window, access Altrady and navigate to Settings > Exchange Account API Keys.
- Click + Connect Account from the top-right of the page.
- Click on Bitmart under Futures only.
- Click on Manual connect from the top of the window.
- Scroll to the bottom of the window and click the copy button to copy the list of IP addresses. Do not copy the IP addresses manually. Leave this window open, as it will be needed later.
- Go back to the API Management page in Bitmart, and paste the list of copied IP addresses within the field displayed below.
- Click the Submit button, below the field where the IP addresses were pasted.
- Bitmart will ask for an email verification code and a Google Authenticator code. Click Send next to the email field, to receive the email verification code, once received enter it into the relevant field. Following this, enter the code generated by Google Authenticator.
- Click Submit.
- In the following window:
1) Click the copy button next to the Access Key in Bitmart, to copy it. Paste the Access Key into the API key field in Altrady (Altrady window that was left open in Step 10).
2) Click the copy button next to the Secret Key in Bitmart, to copy it. Paste the Secret Key into the Secret field in Altrady (Altrady window that was left open in Step 10).
3) Enter the Memo assigned to the API key in Step 5, into the Passphrase field in Altrady.
- Click Save in Altrady.
- The account's balance will be displayed in the next window. Click Add to complete the connection process.
- A message should appear, indicating that the API key was successfully connected to Altrady.
- The account will be displayed in the list of connected Trading Accounts and can be edited at any time, by clicking the Edit button next to it.
