How to Connect Your OKX Exchange Account with Altrady
Overview
Connecting your OKX exchange account to Altrady allows for seamless trading and portfolio management of your OKX account.
The following article will describe two straightforward methods of connecting your OKX account:
Fast Connect, for quick and automatic setup.
Manual Connection, for users who prefer a more hands-on approach.
See the differences below.
Fast Connect, simplifies the process by:
Redirecting you to OKX for a secure login.
Automatically generating, configuring and connecting the OKX API key (with the correct permissions).
Automatically applying Altrady’s IP whitelist to the API key.
Manual Connection, by contrast, involves:
Manually logging into OKX.
Manually creating the API key.
Copying and pasting the API and Secret key into Altrady.
Manually setting permissions and pasting Altrady's IP whitelist addresses in OKX.
Whether you're new to Altrady or simply linking a new exchange, follow the step-by-step instructions below, to get started with ease.

Fast Connect
Fast Connect is a quick and automated way, to link your OKX exchange account to the Altrady platform without manually creating and copying the API and Secret keys.
Fast Connect can only be used to create a new Trading Account in Altrady. If you already have a Trading Account for Okx and need to replace the API key, refer to Step 9 in the following section: Manual Connection
Step-1: In Altrady, click on Settings from the left side panel. Then, click on Exchange Account API Keys.

Step-3: Click on OKX.

Step-4: Ensure Fast Connect is selected. Then click Connect, to be redirected to the OKX log in page.
If you're already logged into OKX on the same browser, you will not be asked to log in again.

While being redirected to OKX, the window below will be shown. If the redirect does not occur automatically, or if it takes a long time, the "OKX Fast Connect" button can be clicked to expedite the process.

Step-5: Select the login method and enter your login credentials as requested by OKX, before clicking Next.

Step-6: If the login method selected was phone number or email/sub-account, you will also be required to enter a password on the following screen. Once entered, click Log In.

Step-7: After logging in, the following screen will be displayed. Click Confirm to allow Altrady to create the Fast Connect API key.
The Fast Connect API key will be created with the same permissions as shown here, on Step 6: Manual Connection. Altrady's IP whitelist will be automatically linked to the Fast Connect API key.

Step-8: The messages below will be shown on the redirect page and in Altrady, if the Fast Connect API key was created successfully.

The error message below will be shown, if there is already a Fast Connect API key that exists on the OKX account. OKX does not allow more than 1 Fast Connect API key to be created, per account.

An error message can also be shown, if the Fast Connect Trading Accounts cannot be created, due to a limit on the number of Trading Accounts for the current Altrady subscription plan.

Step-9: The newly connected Trading Account can then be viewed from the Exchange Account API Keys page.
The default name of the Fast Connect Trading Account can be changed at any time by clicking "Edit" and changing the "Account Label".

Manual Connection
Step-1:
Enter the OKX URL in your browser and log in to your account.

Step-2:
Click on the "APIs" button
Click on "Create APIs".

Step-3
Assign a name to the API key.
Select the account to create an API key for. If you're creating an API key for a subaccount, select your subaccount here.
Set the purpose to "API Trading".

- In a different tab/window, go to Altrady and follow the steps below:
Click on "Settings".
Click on "Exchange Account API Keys".
Click on "+Connect Account".

Click on "OKX".

Step: Ensure that Manual Connect is selected. Then, assign an Account Label for the Trading Account to be created in Altrady.

Add an Account Label for the Trading Account in Altrady.
OPTIONAL: If you want to add an IP whitelist to your API key on the exchange, click the copy button, next to the IP whitelist.

Go back to OKX exchange.
RECOMMENDED: paste the copied IP whitelist to the IP address field. All 20 of Altrady's IP addresses must be copied.
Set Read and Trade permissions.
Create and enter a passphrase. Make sure to record the passphrase somewhere safe, as you will need it later.
Click "Submit All".

Step-7:
A "2-factor authentication" window will pop up. Press "Send code" on both fields.
You will receive a email and a SMS code.
Enter them in the appropriate fields and hit "Confirm".

A window will pop up with your newly created key, saying "1 API created successfully".
Click on "Show Info".

Step-8:
Copy the API key and Secret separately, using the copy button next to each one.

Go back to Altrady and paste the API and Secret into their respective fields.
Enter your passphrase into the respective field as well.
Ensure that the API version matches the URL you used to create the OKX API key

Go back to OKX exchange and click "Complete".

You should see the API key successfully created, in the API list in OKX.

If the API key is created on my.okx.com, the API version will need to be set to this, otherwise an error will be shown stating that the account cannot be found or doesn't exist.

Go back to Altrady, then click "Save" at the bottom of the window.

Step-9:
A new Trading Account should be visible in Altrady under Exchange Account API Keys, for the API key that was just connected.

Edit the details anytime by clicking the Edit button, next to the Trading Account on the Exchange Account API Keys page.
If you need to replace your OKX API key, this should be done by editing the existing Trading Account with the details of the new API key — not by connecting it as a new Trading Account.
