How to Manage Market Tabs

Introduction

Market tabs make it possible to open multiple cryptocurrency markets simultaneously and switch between charts, exchanges, and trading pairs with ease.

Each tab represents a specific trading pair from a selected exchange, making it easier to track various markets, compare price movements, and respond quickly to market changes.

Organized tabs help maintain a clean and productive workspace.

How to Open a New Market Tab

  1. Access the “Trading Terminal” on the left-side Menu.

  1. If no market pairs are present, the Trading Terminal will be completely empty.

  1. In the top-left corner of the Trading Terminal, click the “New tab (+)” button or “+ Add tab” in the middle of the screen.

  1. A modal window will open showing all available exchanges and markets. By default, all markets will be shown. Then select the desired exchange and market pair.

Choose a predefined filter in the modal window to display markets that meet selected criteria, such as Spot vs. Futures, a chosen quote currency¹, Markets with Open Orders, or Markets with available funds.

The maximum number of tabs is 50.

The desired market pair may also be located by using the search bar at the top of the modal window, or by selecting Filter next to the search bar to apply additional criteria such as price range, market volume range, and 24-hour price changes.

¹Quote currency: The currency that shows the value of the coin being traded.

Example: In BTC/USDT, BTC is the coin traded (base currency), and USDT is the currency that tells the price (quote currency).

Please note that BTC can also be a quote currency, like in the ETH/BTC pair.

Once selected, the new market tab will appear along with a full terminal, as seen below.

Please note, once a pair is selected, it will become the market used for all market-related widgets — Trading widget, Position Info, My Orders, My Alerts, Alerts, Base Info, etc.

How to Change Market of an Existing Market Tab

To easily change the market showing in the market tab without having to close it and add a new one, there is a precondition that must be fulfilled: at least one market tab must be open.

  1. Right-click on the market tab to see the dropdown menu, and then select “Change market”.
  2. Choose the new exchange and market pair on the modal window like in the previous steps.

The tab will then display the new market’s chart and data.

Managing Market Tabs

Please note that to close a single market tab or to lock a market tab, at least one tab must be open. Meanwhile, to reorder or close several (including all) market tabs, at least two or more tabs must be open.

How to Reorder the Market Tabs

When multiple tabs are open, they can be arranged in any preferred order. This helps group similar markets — for example, placing all BTC-related pairs together.

  1. Click and hold the tab to be moved.
  2. Drag it left or right to the desired position, then release.

How to View the List of Open Market Tabs

When working with multiple markets, it can be useful to quickly view all currently open tabs. Altrady provides a simple way to see and navigate open market tabs without scrolling through them individually.

  1. Click the list icon in the top-left corner, located before the open market tabs.
  2. Ensure that the Open Tabs filter is selected. Below the search bar, the total number of open tabs is displayed along with a list of them. The search bar can be used to locate a specific market tab, and selecting it will open that tab for viewing.

Also, there is an "X" button next to each market pair in this list. It can be used to quickly remove any open tabs.

How to Check the History of Recently Opened Market Tabs

If multiple markets are opened and closed often, previously viewed markets can be revisited easily. The platform keeps a history of the most recently viewed markets, allowing quick access without returning to the modal window.

  1. Click the list icon in the top-left corner, positioned before the currently open market tabs.
  2. Ensure that the History filter is selected. Below the search bar is a list of recently viewed market tabs, sorted by date. The search bar can be used to locate a specific market tab. After selecting one, the corresponding market tab will open.

How to Copy the Market Name from a Market Tab

This is useful for quickly opening the same market on a different exchange or for sharing the market name with others.

  1. Right-click on the market tab to see the dropdown menu.
  2. Select 'Copy market name'.

The text can later be pasted into the search bar of the modal window using the standard shortcuts on the device (CTRL+V on Windows or Command+V on Mac).
