How to Connect your Crypto.com Exchange Account with Altrady
Introduction
Connecting a Crypto.com account to Altrady is a straightforward process, but it requires completing a few essential steps to ensure security and seamless functionality. This guide provides a walkthrough for the entire setup—from generating API keys on Crypto.com, to adding them in Altrady and configuring an extra key to prevent rate-limit issues.
By following the steps below, a Crypto.com trading account can be fully connected and ready to use in just a few minutes.
Step-1:
- Log into Altrady.
- Navigate to the Exchange Account API Keys page, via Settings.
- If required, enter your 5 word pass key.
- Click + Connect Account.

Step-2:
- From the dropdown list select Crypto.com.

Step-3:
Keep this Altrady window or tab open during the rest of the process

Step-4:
- Open Crypto.com/exchange in your browser and log in to your account.
- Open the account menu and select the Manage Account option.

Step-5:
- Select the API Management tab.

Step-6:
- Select the account for the API key to be created on. To connect a subaccount to Altrady, select the subaccount here.

Step-7:
- Once the relevant account has been selected, click Create a new API key.

Step-8:
- Enter a label for the API key being created and enter the 2FA code as requested by Crypto.com.
- To proceed further afterward, click Create API.

Step-9:
- Copy the secret key and note it down somewhere safe, as it will be required later. As stated within the same window, the secret key will only be shown once.
- Once Copy Secret Key is clicked, the secret key will be copied and the window will close.

Step-10:
- Paste the Secret into Altrady.
- Then copy **the IP whitelist by clicking the **copy icon to the right.

Step-11:
- In crypto.com, an API key will be shown in the list on the API management page. We need to **edit **it to make it usable for trading.
- Click Edit next to the API key.

Step-12:
- In crypto.com, on the next window, ensure that API Transaction is selected.
- Select Enable Trading.
- Paste the IP whitelist from your clipboard
- Click the copy button, to copy the API key and paste it into **Altrady **
- Click **Continue **in crypto.com

Step-13:
We recommend adding an additional API key to your crypto.com trading account on Altrady to avoid rate limit errors while trading. A rate limit is an error thrown by the exchange when orders are created, edited or deleted in a short period of time, resulting in too many API calls. If too many calls are made the exchange throws an error and suspends the API key for a short time. Adding an additional API key allows for twice as many API calls.
- Create another API key in crypto.com following the same process as the first key.
- Use the same IP whitelist
- Paste the details into Altrady under API key #2 (see below)
- Up to 10 API keys can be added to a single trading account by clicking + Add Extra key to reveal a new slot. If needed, these can be added later.
- Click Connect

Step-14:
Click Connect.

Step-15:
Click Next.

Your Crypto.com Trading Account is now ready to use.
Step-16:
The Exchange Code for Crypto.com is CRO.
In the Markets widget Settings, you can rearrange the order of your active exchanges and remove exchanges you are not using (Cog icon, on the top right of the Markets widget).
