How to Connect Your Kraken Exchange Account with Altrady
Step-1:
- Enter Kraken URL in your browser and log in to your account.

Step-2:
- Click on the profile button from the navigation bar and select the Security option.

Step-3:
- Once redirected to the Security page, click on API, then click on Create API Key.

Step-4:
- A message will be shown, indicating that the API key must be set up on Kraken Pro. Click Go to Kraken Pro.

Step-5:
- Once redirected to the Connections & API page on Kraken Pro, click Create API Key.
If already logged into Kraken Pro, this same page can be reached by clicking on the profile icon, then Settings, then Connections & API.

Step-6:
- Now assign a name to the API key under Name and set the Custom Nonce Window at the bottom of the modal as shown.

Nonce Window is the time allowed for an order to be processed in milliseconds. Set the Nonce Window at 5000 (5 seconds) to ensure that orders are provided with ample time to be processed during the busy hours.

Step-7:
- Select the key permissions as shown in the image below.
Optionally, set the Key expiration, Query start date/time, and Query end date/time.
Hit the Generate Key button once done.
The Deposit, Withdraw and Earn permissions should be disabled.
The WebSockets API permission should be enabled.
All the permissions under Orders and Trades should be enabled.
The Custom Nonce Window should be set to 5000 as shown in Step-6.

Step-8:
- A window will be opened, showing your API key and Secret Key (i.e. Private Key). Copy these two keys by using the copy button next to each one, click the Close button and visit the Altrady website.
Save and store the keys in a safe place. They will only be shown once, on this step.

Step-7:
- Login to Altrady and click on the Settings icon appearing on the left-hand side of the interface.

Step-8:
Ensure that the Settings icon has been clicked first.
Click on Exchange Account API Keys.
Click + Connect Account.

Step-9:
A new window will appear on-screen. Choose Kraken from the list of exchanges.

Assign a name to the API key under Account Label, then paste the Kraken API key and Secret key (generated and copied at Step-6), in their respective fields. Then, click the Save button from the bottom of the same window.

Lastly, click Add on the next window.

Step-10:
- The Kraken exchange account has been successfully connected with Altrady.
- If API keys need to be edited or an extra pair of API and Secret keys needs to be added (i.e. to work around rate limit errors), click Edit next to the relevant key.
Start with crypto-trading on Altrady through Kraken by adding one key pair (API Key and Private Key) and after testing that the key works, add an extra key pair. This is a recommended practice because Kraken API keys have strict rate limits per key. By using multiple keys, Altrady can spread the load on Kraken servers across the multiple keys to make sure that the rate limit is not reached and your trading game does not stop or throw exchange errors.

To add the extra API keys, follow the same instructions as above. But instead of creating a new API Key, Edit the existing key and click the +Add Extra Key button in the following window.
Enter the extra key pair (a new set of API Key and Private Key). To generate the new pair of extra keys, repeat the instructions as outlined from Step-1 to Step-6. After entering the extra keys, click the Update button.

Step-11
- Next for added security, an IP whitelist can be added to the API keys in Kraken.
- Copy the IP addresses seen in the IP whitelist section of Altrady here, by clicking the copy button next to them:

- Once the IP whitelist has been copied, go back to Kraken and navigate to the same page shown in Step 5. Once there, click on the three vertical dots next to the API key, then click Edit API.

- On the following window, first enable IP Address Restriction, then paste the copied list of IPs into the relevant field. Once done, click Save from the bottom of the same window.
The same IP whitelist must be used for the Primary key and any Extra Keys.
