How to Connect Your OKX Exchange Account with Altrady
Overview
Connecting your OKX exchange account to Altrady allows for seamless trading and portfolio management of your OKX account.
The following article will describe two straightforward methods of connecting your OKX account (Spot and/or Futures):
- Fast Connect, for quick and automatic setup.
- Manual Connection, for users who prefer a more hands-on approach.
See the differences below.
Fast Connect, simplifies the process by:
- Redirecting you to OKX for a secure login.
- Automatically generating, configuring and connecting the OKX API key (with the correct permissions).
- Automatically applying Altrady’s IP whitelist to the API key.
Manual Connection, by contrast, involves:
- Manually logging into OKX.
- Manually creating the API key.
- Copying and pasting the API and Secret key into Altrady.
- Manually setting permissions.
- Pasting Altrady's IP whitelist addresses in OKX (for non third-party API keys only).
Whether you're new to Altrady or simply linking a new exchange, follow the step-by-step instructions below, to get started with ease.
Altrady supports both Spot and Futures for OKX.

OKX Futures for EEA residents (X-Perps)
If you live in the EEA (the EU plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), OKX provides futures as X-Perps: USDC-margined perpetuals offered by OKX Europe Markets Ltd under MiFID rules, on my.okx.com. This is a separate product from OKX's standard (global) USDT futures, and you must enable it on OKX before futures will appear in Altrady.
X-Perps cover both crypto and TradFi underlyings (major US stocks, commodities such as gold and oil, and index ETFs like SPY and QQQ) and are long expiry-date futures. They are all USDC-margined and are unlocked by the same appropriateness assessment, so the steps below apply to all of them. Availability can vary by EEA country.
Before you connect to Altrady, complete these steps on OKX:
- Complete identity verification (KYC). This must be done before you can unlock X-Perps.
- Unlock X-Perps by completing the appropriateness assessment. On desktop, go to Trade > Unlock X-Perps. This opens the appropriateness assessment, a short, mandatory questionnaire about your knowledge and experience with leveraged derivatives, required under MiFID rules. Completing the assessment is what unlocks X-Perps; it is a one-time process and cannot be skipped. If you do not pass, OKX applies a cooling-off period before you can retake it, so answer carefully. Once unlocked, X-Perps appears under your Trade menu; open an order there to confirm your account is enabled before connecting to Altrady.
- Create your API key with the Trade permission. OKX API keys have only three permissions: Read, Trade and Withdraw. There is no separate "futures" permission; once your account is enabled for X-Perps, a Trade-permission key can trade them. Then follow Manual Connection below, making sure the API version is set to my.okx.com.
- Once your API key is connected, find X-Perp crypto derivatives under Xperp in the Markets widget (see image below).
- You can also trade the USDC-margined TradFi pairs; these are also X-Perps.

Still only seeing Spot in Altrady? Check that:
- your OKX account has passed the appropriateness assessment and X-Perps is visible under Trade on OKX,
- your API key has the Trade permission,
- you connected via Manual Connection with the my.okx.com API version, and
- your funds are in the Trading account on OKX, not Funding (see Syncing Balances).
