How To Add A Market To The Watchlist

Introduction


The Watchlist feature helps users organize and track their preferred markets with ease. This guide explains how to create, edit, share, import watchlists and manage existing watchlists—to enable efficient management and quick access to preferred markets.

How to Create a New Watchlist


Market Tabs


  1. Right-click on the desired market tab.




  1. From the dropdown menu that appears, click Create New Watchlist.



  1. Within the Create Watchlist window:



A) Enter a name for the watchlist.

B) The short name will be automatically filled in as the first 4 letters of the full name, although it can be changed as desired. The short name will be the name displayed in the Markets widget.

C) Choose a color for the watchlist. New colours can be added by clicking the + icon below.

D) Click Save to save the watchlist.


Markets Widget


  1. In the Markets widget, scroll to the bottom of the left-side column and click on + Watchlist.



  1. Within the Create Watchlist window:



A) Enter a name for the watchlist.

B) The short name will be automatically filled in as the first 4 letters of the full name, although it can be changed as desired. The short name will be the name displayed in the Markets widget.

C) Choose a color for the watchlist.

D) Click Save to save the watchlist.

  1. Right-click on the desired market tab.



  1. From the dropdown menu that appears, click on the name of the watchlist that the market is to be added to. This action works as a toggle to add and remove the current market to the selected watchlist.



  1. Any markets that were added to the watchlist will then be viewable within it.



Markets Widget


  1. Right-click on any market in the Markets widget.



  1. Click on the name of the watchlist that the market is to be added to, from the dropdown menu that appears.



  1. Any markets that were added to the watchlist will then be viewable within it.



Removing a Market from the Watchlist

Market Tabs


  1. Right-click on a market within the market tabs, that is already within a watchlist. Markets that are within a watchlist, will have a colored tag applied to them, visible at the top of the tab.



  1. Click on the name of the watchlist, from the dropdown menu that appears. The bookmark icon next to the watchlist name will be filled in, if the market is currently within that watchlist.



  1. When the watchlist is opened, the market will no longer be within it.



Markets Widget


  1. Within the Markets widget, click on the name of the relevant watchlist.



  1. Right-click on any market within the watchlist.



  1. From the dropdown menu that appears, click on the name of the watchlist, to remove the market from within it.



  1. The market will no longer be within the watchlist.



Watchlist Options Available in the Markets Widget


When right-clicking on any created watchlist within the Markets widget, there are various options available (see image below). These options are explained further below.



  1. Open all markets: clicking this will open market tabs for all markets that are within the watchlist.
  2. Set as default watchlist: clicking this sets the relevant watchlist as the default watchlist, which will highlight it in bold within the Markets widget.
  3. Edit watchlist: clicking this will allow edits to be made to the watchlist. For more information on this, refer to the following section:
  4. Share watchlist: clicking this will enable the watchlist to be shared via a generated link, or a JSON file that can be downloaded and used for import later.
  5. Remove all markets from watchlist: clicking this will clear the entire watchlist, so that there are no markets within it.
  6. Delete watchlist: clicking this will delete the entire watchlist.
  7. Create new watchlist: this option enables the creation of a new watchlist.
  8. Import button: this button allows a watchlist to be imported via a watchlist URL or a previously downloaded JSON file.


Editing a Watchlist


  1. In the Markets widget, scroll to the bottom of the left-side column and right-click on the watchlist to be edited.



  1. From the options that appear on-screen, click on Edit watchlist.



  1. A window will appear on-screen, where specific aspects of the watchlist can be edited.



A) Edit the watchlist's full name.

B) Edit the watchlist's short name.

C) Edit the watchlist's color.

D) Personally select a color from a color, to apply to the watchlist.

E) Share the watchlist by copying the watchlist URL or by downloading a JSON file that can be imported.

F) Close the watchlist without saving changes.

G) Save the changes made to the watchlist.


  1. Once Save is clicked, any changes made to the watchlist will be saved.


Sharing a Watchlist


  1. In the Markets widget, scroll to the bottom of the left-side column and right-click on the watchlist to be shared.



  1. From the options that appear on-screen, click on Share watchlist.



  1. A window will appear on-screen where the watchlist URL can be copied or downloaded as a JSON file for import.



A) Download a JSON file, that can be used to import the watchlist.

B) Copy the watchlist URL, which can also be used to import the watchlist.


Importing a Watchlist

  1. In the Markets widget, scroll to the bottom of the left-side column, then click on the import icon next to + Watchlist.



  1. A window will appear on-screen, where a watchlist URL or JSON file can be imported. Ensure that Watchlist URL is selected, then paste the watchlist URL within the empty field and click Check URL.



  1. Once the URL is checked, a new field will appear, where the name that the watchlist was created with will be shown. The name can be changed as desired.



  1. Lastly, click Import to import the watchlist.



  1. The imported watchlist will then be displayed on the left-side column of the Markets widget, with the short name that was originally assigned to it when it was created (not the name assigned to it on import).



JSON File


  1. In the Markets widget, scroll to the bottom of the left-side column, then click on the import icon next to + Watchlist.



  1. A window will appear on-screen, where a watchlist URL or JSON file can be imported. Ensure that JSON file is selected, then click Select JSON file.



  1. Once a JSON file has been selected, a new field will appear, where the name that the watchlist was created with will be shown. The name can be changed as desired.



  1. Lastly, click Import to import the watchlist.



  1. The imported watchlist will then be displayed on the left-side column of the Markets widget, with the short name that was originally assigned to it when it was created (not the name assigned to it on import).
