How to Lock and Unlock Tabs in the Trading Terminal

The Lock Tabs function allows you to organise your tabs in the Trading Terminal.
This can be very useful for markets that you view or trade frequently.
Lockable Tabs are available from V4.0, which can be accessed here or download and install the latest version of the app under Settings>Check for Updates.

Introduction


All locked tabs are positioned on the left side of the list of tabs, making them easy to find.
A locked tab is marked by a padlock icon on the right side of the tab.
If you try to change the market in a locked tab, the new market will be opened in a new tab instead.;

The first tab is locked and other tabs are not locked

A locked tab cannot be deleted or moved, and the market cannot be changed.

It is not possible to Lock tabs on the Chart Page.

There are two ways to lock and unlock tabs:

Locking tabs using the Right Click Menu


The first method uses the right click menu on the tab.
Right click on the tab to be locked
Click Lock tab at the top of the menu



The tab will move to the start of the tab list and will have a lock icon. If there are already some locked tabs, the newly locked tab will be placed to the right of the currently locked tabs



Unlocking tabs using the Right Click Menu

Right click on the tab to be unlocked.
Click Unlock tab at the top of the menu



The tab will be unlocked and moved to the start of the set of unlocked tabs.
The tab can now be dragged to a new position, or closed, and the market can be replaced by selecting a new market.



Locking tabs using Keyboard Shortcuts


Click on the Trading Terminal, outside the chart area.
Hold the CTRL key (Windows) or CMD key (Mac).
A lock symbol will temporarily appear on each tab.



Click the lock symbol on the tab you wish to lock.



The Tab will now be locked and moved to the left.

Click in the Trading Terminal, outside the chart area.
Hold the CTRL key (Windows) or CMD key (Mac).
A lock symbol will temporarily appear on each tab.



Click the lock symbol on the tab you wish to unlock.



The tab will be unlocked and moved to the start of the set of unlocked tabs.
The tab can now be moved (dragged), closed, and the market can be replaced by selecting a new market.
