How to Connect Your Toobit Exchange Account

Introduction

First a new Trading Account is added to Altrady, ready for the Toobit API key details.

The Trading Account should never be deleted unless you will no longer be trading on that exchange and have no further use for the historic date (orders, trades, positions, PnL).

If the API key ever needs to be changed, the Trading Account should be edited and the API key/Secret pair replaced.

From the Account dropdown list, select API Management

  1. On the API keys page, click + New API.

  1. Enter the details and permissions as shown.

For added security, enable IP address restrictions.

Click the copy icon in Altrady to copy the IP whitelist to the clipboard.

And copy the whitelist to the API key.

Once all permissions are entered as shown, click **Confirm **in Toobit.

Complete the API key permissions as shown

  1. The API key and secret will be displayed.

Copy these to your Altrady Trading account as shown.

And click **Save **in Altrady.

  1. Altrady will check that it can access your account balance. Click +Add to confirm.

  1. In Toobit, **close **the API key window and you will see your new API key in the list.

  1. It can take a couple of minutes for the account balance to be shown in the Trading widget on the Trading Terminal.

On the Trading Terminal, view the Markets widget (or click + next to the tabs at the top).

Select Futures and then Toobit from the list of exchanges on the left side.

Then choose a contract pair for which you have some quote currency (USDT or USDC).

  1. In the Trading widget, the leveraged Available balance for Long and short positions is shown at the top.

Toobit only offers Hedge mode, so there is no option to switch to one-way mode.

The wallet balance for the contract quote currency is shown at the bottom.

If there is a delay in displaying these, click the Resync arrow (top right) to force an update from the exchange.

Important Factors to Note When Trading on Toobit

Closing a Manual Position that has an Open Exit Order

Unlike Binance Futures for example, Toobit does not **allow orders to be overwritten. As a result, this means that an open exit order on a **manual position will need to be **manually deleted **before a close order can be placed.

If the open exit order is not manually deleted beforehand, the close order will be rejected by Toobit and a corresponding error message will be shown.

Changing an Open Position's Margin Mode

Margin mode cannot be changed when a position is running. A corresponding error message will be shown from Toobit when this is attempted.

Reducing an Open Position's Leverage (Isolated Margin Mode)

Toobit does not support reducing an open position's leverage in Isolated Margin Mode. A corresponding error message is shown from Toobit if this is attempted.

Increasing leverage is supported however. Therefore, once an open position in Isolated Margin mode has had its leverage increased, it cannot be decreased.
