Updating the IP whitelist for Bitmart: which type of API key do you have
There are two methods for creating an API key in Bitmart. The method for updating the IP whitelist depends on how the the API key was originally created: using Fast Connect (see video 1), or the manual method (video 2).
API key types are shown on the exchange
a) Fast Connect API keys are shown under the Third-Party Authorization tab in Bitmart. The application name for Fast Connect API keys created via Altrady, should be labelled Altrady.

FAQ
My key was created using Fast Connect or Third Party. Why can’t I edit the IP whitelist?
These types of API keys are automatically generated by the exchange with pre-filled permissions and whitelists. Most exchanges do not allow you to edit the IP list on these keys.
In these cases, you’ll need to manually create a new key, then paste it into your existing Altrady Trading Account.
Can I create my new API key using Fast Connect?
No. Fast Connect is only intended for new exchange connections.
Using Fast Connect will automatically create a new Trading Account in Altrady, which will not be linked to your existing trading history or positions.
If you're replacing an existing API key, do not use Fast Connect.
Instead, as shown in the first video:
- Manually create a new key on the exchange
- Then edit your existing Trading Account in Altrady and paste in the new key and secret
I created a new API key—do I need a new Trading Account?
No. In Altrady, go to Settings > Exchange API Keys, find your Trading Account, and click Edit. Paste the new API key and secret here (see video 1).
Do not create a new Trading Account unless you're connecting to a brand new exchange account or subaccount.
