Understanding the “Market Depth” Widget of Altrady

The market depth widget shows the volume of buy and sell orders on a selected market. On the market depth chart, users can also view buy and sell walls which can help them in making informed trading decisions.

Buy wall: It refers to a large buy order or a cumulation of buy orders at one price level.

Sell wall: It refers to a very large sell order or a cumulation of sell orders at one price level.

How to Activate the Market Depth Widget



Step - 1: To activate the market depth widget, open the trading terminal of Altrady, click on the widgets button and tick the Market depth option.





The market depth widget will appear on the screen, as shown below:



Buy orders are shown in green color.



Sell orders are shown in red color.



There is no fixed position of the widgets as they can be populated and dragged anywhere on the interface based on the available space and the number of widgets already activated.

The widgets of Altrady can be dragged anywhere on the interface and can be organized by the users to their liking. For more information click here.

How to Zoom In and Zoom Out of the Market Depth Chart



Step - 1: To get a better overview of the price level and its corresponding order volume, you can zoom in the chart by selecting the area you want to look closer at. To zoom in, all you need to do is click and hold at the starting point of the area that you want to know more about and drag up to the end point of that area.



Hovering over the chart’s buy/sell order will display the price level and corresponding volume of buying and selling orders that are currently open in the market, as shown below:



Step - 2: Click on the Show all button to zoom out of the chart.
