Understanding the "Chart" Widget of Altrady (Part-1)
The chart widget displays the real-time trade for the selected market. With the help of the chart widget, users can visualize how the market is performing at the time when the most recent trade was made.
In this documentation, you will understand how to:
Activate the chart widget
Set time interval
Set chart type
Create or add symbol
Add Indicator
Create an alert
Let's begin.
Step - 1: To activate the chart widget, open the trading terminal of Altrady, click on the widgets button and tick the Chart option.
The chart widget will appear on the screen, as shown below:
Users can also resize the chart widget to their liking. To resize the chart widget, all you need to do is click and hold the bottom right corner of the chart widget and drag it to increase/decrease its size. The full size view of the chart widget will display all the widget's toolbar icon names in detail.
There is no fixed position of the widgets as they can be populated and dragged anywhere on the interface based on the available space and the number of widgets already activated.
The widgets of Altrady can be dragged anywhere on the interface and can be organized by the users to their liking. For more information click here.
Step - 1: Click on the Time Interval button in the widget's toolbar to open the time interval dropdown.
Step - 2: Select the desired time interval from the dropdown:
Step - 1: Once you select the desired time interval, click on Star icon appearing next to the interval option.
Step - 2: Once you mark interval as your favorite, the corresponding button will be added to the chart.
Step - 1: Click on the Current chart type button in the widget's toolbar.
Step - 2: Select the desired Chart Type from the dropdown:
Step - 3: Click on Star icon next to the type name to add it to the favorites.
Step - 4: The corresponding button will be added to the toolbar. Click on this button to switch to the any of Chart Type want.
Step - 1: Click on the Plus ( + ) button in the widget's toolbar. A dialog box will appear on the console displaying 2 tabs: Compare and Add Symbol.
Step - 2: Click on Compare tab and enter the market name in text field of the dialog box.
Or click on Add Symbol tab and enter symbol in the text field. Dialog box will appear with the list of corresponding symbol and pairs in different market.
Step - 3: Click on the market and the corresponding symbol or pairs in the list.
The market pair or symbol will be added to the chart.
A.1. To Add Indicator
Step - 1: Click on Indicator button in the widget's toolbar to add an indicator to the chart widget.
Select any of the indicator from the dialog box appearing on the console with the multiple options.
Hit the forward slash key to open dialog box.
The corresponding indicator would be added to the chart.
A.2. To Configure Indicator
Step - 1: Click on the indicator's settings button in the chart to open the configuration window.
Step - 2: In the** Input Tab** of configuration window the corresponding fields will be displayed necessary for the indicator.
Step - 3: Click on OK button to save the configuration.
Input fields of indicators may vary depending on the indicator and some indicators also don't have the input tabs.
B.1. To save Indicator Template
Step - 1: Once you add chart indicators, click on Save Indicator Template button to save indicator template.
Step - 2: Enter template and hit the Save button.
B.2. To Remove Indicator Template
Step - 1: Click on the Save Indicator Template button, it would display list of previously created templates.
Step - 2: Hover the mouse pointer to the template name then click on X button to remove it.
B.3. Add Indicator Template to Favorites
Step - 1: Click on the Save Indicator Template button, it would display list of previously created templates.
Step - 2: Hover the mouse pointer to the template name then click on Star to add it to favorites.
Corresponding button would be created and appear in the chart's toolbar.
It's easy to create an alert, but there is a precondition that must be fulfilled:
Alerts widget is active.
There are three methods for creating an alert:
Step - 1: In the chart widget, Right Click on the desired price you want to create alert for. A context menu will appear on the console.
Step - 2: Click on Create New Alert or Create New Recurring Alert option in the menu.
Step - 4: Drag the handle bar to set the price for which you want to create alert and click on the handle bar to save the new price.
The alert handle will be created in the chart and the Alert created message will be appear on the console.
Step - 1: Click on the Alert button in the chart widget, handle bar is created and shown at the last price of the selected market.
Step - 2: Drag the alert handle bar up/down to set the alert at the desired price.
Step - 3: If the Alerts widget is active, click Save to save the alert.
If the Alerts widget is not active, click on the handle bar again to save the alert.
Step - 1: In the chart widget, press Shift + A keys. Handle bar will be created and shown with the last price of the selected market. Drag the handle bar up/down to set the alert at the desired price.
Step - 2: Click Save button that will populate automatically as the alert widget is active.
If the alerts widget is not active, click on the handle bar again to save the alert.

How to Set Time Interval
A. Select Time Interval

B. Add Time Interval to Favorites
Step - 1: Once you select the desired time interval, click on Star icon appearing next to the interval option.

How to Set Chart Type
Step - 1: Click on the Current chart type button in the widget's toolbar.
Step - 2: Select the desired Chart Type from the dropdown:
Step - 3: Click on Star icon next to the type name to add it to the favorites.
Step - 4: The corresponding button will be added to the toolbar. Click on this button to switch to the any of Chart Type want.
How to Create or Add Symbol

How to Create an Alert

A. Using context menu
