Understanding the Values in the Order Book Widget
- Last Price
The Last Price indicated in the Order Book, refers to the last price that was traded for the relevant market. This is the most recent price in the market and it is the current price that is shown on the chart.
- Spread
This is the difference between the lowest Ask **(i.e. the **lowest price offered in the order book for selling a coin) and the highest Bid **(i.e. the **highest price offered to buy a coin in the Order Book).
The larger the spread is, the more likely it is for a Market order to have large slippage (i.e. the difference between the expected price of an order and the price when the order is filled).
This is calculated with the following formula: Spread = Lowest Ask - Highest Bid. As a percentage, this is Spread = (Lowest Ask - Highest Bid) / Highest Bid.
- Price, Sum and Amount Columns
**Price: **this column displays the prices of orders.
Sum: this column displays the value or cost of orders, at the corresponding price.
Amount: this column displays the number of tokens available, at the corresponding price.
- Totals and Red/Green Bars
The red and green bars in the Order Book, are a visual representation of the running total at each corresponding price level. Red shows the running total of Sell orders at the corresponding price level, while green shows the running total of Buy orders at the corresponding price level.
Hovering over any of the Buy/Sell orders, will display the equivalent of the running total at the corresponding price level, **in a numeric format **(i.e. Total BTC/Total USDT).
