Understanding the "Order Book" Widget of Altrady

The order book widget shows you a list of all the active buy and sell orders for a certain coin pair on a particular cryptocurrency exchange. With the help of the order book, users can make better sense of the market depth for a particular cryptocurrency. It will show you the highest and lowest bids for buy and sell orders.

How to Activate the Order Book Widget



Step - 1: To activate the order book widget, open the trading terminal of Altrady, click on the Widgets button and tick the Order book option.



Altrady has two types of order book widgets:

Horizontal
Vertical

On the widgets menu, you can choose which type you want to use, depending on your layout.

There is no fixed position of the widgets as they can be populated and dragged anywhere on the interface based on the available space and the number of widgets already activated.

The widgets of Altrady can be dragged anywhere on the interface and can be organized by the users to their liking. For more information click here.

How to Create a Buy Order



It is easy to create a buy order in the order book widget, but there is a precondition that must be fulfilled:

Trading widget is active

An error message will be displayed if the user tries to create a buy order without activating the trading widget first, as shown below:



Step -1: To create a buy order, all you need to do is right-click on the desired price under buying and selling column in the order book widget





Step -2: Click on Create BUY Order option.



This will redirect you to the trading widget’s BUY order form pointing to the ‘Limit’ tab. The BUY order form's 'Price' field is automatically populated with the price selected in the 'Order Book' widget.



Users can modify the ‘Price’, ‘Spend’, and ‘Buy’ fields as desired.



Step -3: Click on Place Order to proceed.



Step -4: Once you click on place order, Confirm the order dialog will pop up. Click Confirm to complete the order.





How to Create a Sell Order



It is easy to create a sell order in the order book widget, but there is a precondition that must be fulfilled:

Trading widget is active

An error message will be displayed if the user tries to create a sell order without activating the trading widget first, as shown below:



Step -1: For creating a sell order, right-click on the desired price under the buying/selling column in the order book widget.





Step -2: Click on Create SELL Order option.



This will redirect you to the ‘Trading’ widget pointing to the ‘Limit’ tab. The SELL order form's 'Price' field is automatically populated with the price selected in the 'Order Book' widget.



Users can modify the ‘Price’, ‘Sell’, and ‘Receive’ fields as desired.



Step -3: Click on Place Order to proceed.



Step -4: Once you click on place order, Confirm the order dialog will pop up. Click Confirm to complete the order.





How to create an Alert



Step - 1: To create an alert, all you need to do is right-click on the desired price under the buying and selling column in the order book widget.





Step - 2: Click on Create alert. This should create the corresponding alert automatically.





How to View an Alert



Step -1: To view all the alerts that you have created, click on the Bell icon at the top right corner of the trading terminal.





How to change the settings to the Order Book



Step 1: To change the settings: right click the word 'Order Book' and then in the box that comes up, click the Settings label.



Step 2: Select your desired layout for the Order book.
