  • 5-second push interval (2-3x faster than previous quick scanner)
  • Minimum percentage change: 2% (was always 2%)
  • Max rules: 20

Premium Plan:

  • 1 second push interval (10-15x faster than previous quick scanner)

Troubleshooting

Background

The Quick Scan be used for 3 different types of alerts: Rises, Drops and Fat Fingers.

  • Rises and Drops Drops are based on recent lows/highs compared to the last trade.
  • Fat Fingers are based on the Order Book. If the best Ask in the Sell Order Book is far lower than the recent high, a Fat Finger notification will be sent.

Explanation of Terms Used Within the Quick Scan Widget

Fat Finger

A Fat Finger trade is a trade resulting from a human input mistake, such as entering the wrong price to sell a coin at. For example, when a very large Sell order is placed at a very low price due to a human input mistake, the order book will get filled at successively higher bid prices, causing a temporary drop in price (this occurs more commonly on markets with low trading volume). Thus, it presents a small window of opportunity, where coins can be purchased at prices that are lower than usual.

If this option is enabled in the Quick Scan widget for a created rule, a notification will be generated when the price drops to the set percentage.

Rise

This option refers to a rise in price. Therefore, when this option is enabled for a created rule, a notification will be generated when the price rises by the set percentage. The percentage value that is set for this option is always positive.

Drop

This option refers to a drop in price. As such, when this option is enabled for a created rule, a notification will be generated when the price drops by the set percentage. The percentage value that is set for this option is always negative.

A notification will be generated multiple times if the current price is still up or down from the previous high or low. Once every minute per market.

  • Detail 1: Exchange (Under exchange field, select the preferred exchange)

  • Detail 2: Market (Under the Market field, enter the markets or currencies for which alerts should be received)

The comma-separated matcher can be used to add multiple markets. For example - /BTC, /USD, /ETH for quote currencies. Or ^ADA/USDT, ^SOL/BTC to whitelist only specific markets.

  • Detail 3: 24-hour volume (Enter the minimum 24-hour trading volume amount either in BTC or USD for which the alert should be generated. It will help in removing the low-volume markets).

  • Detail 4: Alert percentage thresholds (Set the alert percentage thresholds for the Rise, Drop, and Fat Finger).

Each of the alerts types can be disabled if they are not needed.

To create another rule, hit the + Add rule button once again.

  1. Exclude markets from the scanner by market name, currency, or minimum price.

For this purpose, market or currency name can be entered in the Exclude Markets field or enter the minimum price in the Minimum price field.

The minimum price field helps the trader to avoid barcode charts (low sat pairs) that are hard to trade.

For Exclude Markets, markets can be separated by commas.

They will be matched against the full market name which is in the following format:

exchangeCode:base/quote

e.g. KUCN:ADA/USDT

The asterisk ("*") can be used as a wildcard.

Examples:

Exclude the Binance leveraged tokens:

*UP/USDT, *DOWN/USDT

or the Kucoin leveraged tokens:

*3S/USDT, *3L/USDT

If more than one exchange is listed and a market should be excluded from one exchange but not another, the exchange code can also be specified.: e.g.

BINA:ADA/BTC

If more than one quote currency is included and all ADA markets need to be excluded, use:

ADA/*

Or just:

ADA/

Troubleshooting

No Results from Quick Scan

Follow these steps to get the Quick Scanner going again.

  1. Restart the Quick Scan by selecting OFF from the Filter Dropdown menu, then select the saved filter again.

  1. When using the Desktop App, ensure the most recent version is installed by navigating to Settings > Check for Updates

  1. Force Reload the App using Shift + Ctrl + R or Shift + CMD + R

  1. If the current filter settings are very restrictive (e.g. short time frame combined with large percentage thresholds), first verify that notifications are working properly by creating a test filter with less strict parameters — for example, a 30-minute time frame, 2% rise/drop percentages, and a larger number of exchanges.

  1. Reboot the device.
To test the Quick Scan try less restrictive settings and more exchanges
