Background

The Quick Scan be used for 3 different types of alerts: Rises, Drops and Fat Fingers.
Rises and Drops Drops are based on recent lows/highs compared to the last trade.
Fat Fingers are based on the Crder Book. If the best ask in the Sell OB is far lower than the recent high you get a Fat Finger notification.

How to activate the Quick Scan widget

To activate the Quick Scan widget, navigate to the trading terminal of Altrady, hit the Widgets button, and tick the Quick Scan option.

There is no fixed position of the widgets as they can be populated and dragged anywhere on the interface based on the available space and the number of widgets already activated.

The widgets of Altrady can be dragged anywhere on the interface and can be organized by the users to their liking. For more information click here.

How to set up the Quick Scan notifications

Step - 1: Navigate to the Quick Scan notifications and click on the Quick Scan filter button.

Step - 2: The dialogue box of Quick Scan filter settings shall pop up.

Step - 3: Enter the desired filter name in the Filter name field.

Step - 4: Select the suitable timeframe (in minutes) for generating the notifications.
If 30m is used and the percentage drop or rise happens in a shorter timeframe, you will still be alerted.
And you will get a signal multiple times if the current price is still down or up from the previous high or low. Once every minute per market

Step - 5: Select the desired notification sound for the Rise, Drop, and Fat Finger. To enable the desktop notifications, you can check the Desktop notification option as well. To test the notification sound selected, you can hit the play button.

For the Rise

For the Drop

For the Fat Finger

Fat Finger: The Fat Finger notification of the Quick Scan widget enables you to trap additional earning opportunities by purchasing the cryptocurrencies at low prices. When the traders dump a large amount, then it leads to a drop in the price. But this price drop is quickly recovered to normal when it is just a market order.

However in the case of a fat finger, the dump is done with a limit order and hence, the opportunity to purchase at a lower price is created automatically for you. For example, if you are successful to trap a 15% Fat Finger trade, then you can expect a quick 10% profit or even more in just a matter of seconds.

Step - 6: Add a rule to the Quick Scan widget by clicking on the + Add rule button.

Step - 7: After clicking on the + Add rule button, you will have to fill-up the 4 details in the field to complete adding the rule.

Detail - 1: Exchange (Under exchange field, select the exchange you want to find the markets on)

Detail - 2: Market (Under market field, enter the market or currencies you want to receive the alerts for)

The comma-separated matcher can be used to add multiple markets. For example - /BTC, /USD, /ETH for quote currencies. Or ^ADA/USDT, ^SOL/BTC to whitelist only specific markets.

Detail - 3: 24-hour volume (Enter the minimum 24-hour trading volume amount either in BTC or USD for which the alert should be generated. It will help you to remove the low-volume markets).

Detail - 4: Alert percentage thresholds (Set the alert percentage thresholds for the Rise, Drop, and Fat Finger).

You can disable each of the alert types if you don't need them.

You have successfully created your first rule in the Quick Scan. To create another rule, hit the + Add rule button once again.

Step - 8: Exclude markets from the scanner by market name, currency, or minimum price.

For this purpose, you can enter the market or currency name in the Exclude Markets field or enter the minimum price in the Minimum price field.

The minimum price field helps the trader to avoid barcode charts (low sat pairs) that are hard to trade.

For Exclude Markets, markets can be separated by commas.
They will be matched against the full market name which is in the following format: exchangeCode:base/quote, e.g. KUCN:ADA/USDT

The asterisk ("*") can be used as a wildcard.

Examples:
Exclude the Binance leveraged tokens: *UP/USDT,*DOWN/USDT
or the Kucoin leveraged tokens: *3S/USDT, *3L/USDT
If you have more than one exchange in your exchange list, and wish to exclude a market from one exchange but not another, you can also include the exchange code: e.g. BINA:ADA/BTC
If you have included more than one quote currency and wish to exclude all ADA markets: ADA/*, or just ADA/
