Understanding the "My Position" Widget of Altrady
Introduction
The My Positions widget in Altrady provides a structured view of trading activity by grouping related trades into positions.
When a coin is purchased or sold for the first time, a position can be created and tracked in real time, with profit and loss (PnL) automatically calculated against the current market price. Subsequent orders will adjust the position size and the break-even point will be recalibrated accordingly.
As coins are purchased and sold, the widget dynamically updates the break-even point and PnL, until the initial investment is fully recovered or the position is closed.

How to Manually Create an Open Position
If an order is placed on a market for the first time and this order is not a Smart Order, a position will not be automatically created.
To learn how to create a position manually, refer to the following article and section: Position Management and Controls: Use Previous Orders.
How to View Positions
To view positions via the My Positions widget a precondition must be fulfilled:
A position has been created (either automatically or manually)
Viewing Open and Closed Positions
To view Open positions, navigate to the My Positions widget and click on the Open tab. A list of all open positions will be displayed in the widget by default.

To view Closed positions, click on the Closed tab. A list of all closed positions will be displayed in the widget by default.

Filtering the My Positions Widget
The My Positions widget can be filtered via the Position types and Accounts filters, to help locate positions easier and quicker.
Position types can be checked and unchecked from the dropdown menu, to ensure that certain position types are either excluded or included in the list of positions, based on the position types that remain checked.

Accounts can also be checked and unchecked, which will either include or exclude positions from the list, based on the accounts that remain checked.
Specific accounts can be searched for within this filter, by typing the Account Label into the search box.

View Position Action
The View position action allows a specific position to be viewed more closely, by opening the market for that position in the Chart widget and selecting it in the Position Info widget.
To view a position for any specific market, click on the three vertical dots and select the View position action from the dropdown menu.

Doing this will update the Chart widget to the corresponding market:

For every position, nine metrics are available:
Time/Duration (to check when the positions were opened and the duration they have been open for)

Market/Account (to check the market's name and which exchange account opened the position)

Cost (to check the amount invested in the position)

Size (to check the amount of crypto purchased in the position for Long positions, or the amount of quote currency received for crypto sold in Short positions)

Average Price (to check the average purchase price of the coins)

Mark Price (to check the mark price, or mark and liquidation prices for futures)

Recovered (to check how much of the position has been recouped)

PnL% (to check the profit and loss percentage change of a position)

PnL (to check a position's profit and loss in quote currency and the display currency selected)

How to Delete a Position
To delete a position a precondition must be fulfilled:
An Open or Closed position already exists
To delete a position, click on the three vertical dots and select Delete position from the dropdown menu.

The position will be deleted immediately and will no longer appear in the My Positions widget.
Orders linked to deleted positions will be left open and may be filled, unless they are cancelled.
How to Close a Position with a Limit Order
To close a position with a Limit order, a precondition must be fulfilled:
An Open position already exists
Step-1: To close a position with a Limit order, click on the three vertical dots next to the specific position, then select Close position LIMIT from the dropdown menu.

Step-2: A new window will appear on-screen, whereby the price and closing size can be set for the Limit close order. Once ready, click Close position to place the close order.
The available presets can be used to set the price and closing size. A close order with a size lower than 100% will only reduce the position, leaving it open with the remainder.

An Open position already exists
Step-1: To close a position with a Market order, click on the three vertical dots next to the specific position, then select Close position MARKET from the dropdown menu.

How to Mark a Position as Closed
To mark a position as closed, there are preconditions that must be fulfilled:
An Open position already exists
The position is a Manual position
Marking a position as closed does not close the position; it only marks it as such. Marking a Long position as closed will not sell any coins that were purchased. Likewise, marking a Short position as closed will not re-buy any coins. Any open orders on the market will remain open.
To learn how to convert a position to manual, refer to the following article and section: Position Management and Controls: Convert to Manual
To mark the position as closed, click on the three vertical dots next to the specific position, then select Mark as closed from the dropdown menu.
